The purpose of the program is to prepare students with the necessary skills and academic knowledge for an entry-level Massage Therapist position. These can be located in medical clinics, massage clinics, physiotherapy clinics, fitness clubs, or even self-employment.
This program provides an overview of the theory, principles, and practices of the Massage Therapist and incorporates the necessary hands on training required for success.
Massage therapists assess soft tissues and joints of the body for treatment and prevention of dysfunction, injury, pain and physical disorders. Massage therapists work in private practice, including group or team practices, hospitals, clinics, extended care facilities, rehabilitation centres and educational institutions.
Note: Some career and education options may require advanced degrees, further training or experience.
CAREER PLANNING & PREPARATION
Our Career Management program introduces students to the strategies and components of an effective job search, including self-marketing and awareness, skills inventory, job search tools and the job market. The Career Planning & Preparation courses are delivered by our on-campus Career Services Team who are there throughout the job search to assist and mentor students towards achieving their ultimate goal of employment in their field of study.
Our Team of Career Services Professionals maintain relationships in their communities with key employers and organizations that recognize the value triOS graduates have to offer. The skills learned throughout Career Planning & Preparation at triOS will continue to serve students in their job search as they navigate their new careers.
