    An RMT requires formal training and completing either a college or university degree program. These programs can last 2 to 3 years to earn and takes 1 year to earn a certificate afterwards. Finally, you need to register with a massage therapy association (mentioned above). But in some provinces, you can join an association after completing an approved college or university program.

    Once you have received a diploma/degree in massage therapy, you must successfully complete a CMTO (College of Massage Therapists of Ontario) certification examinations.
